The "Association for the Preservation of the Affaltrach Synagogue" was founded on May 3, 1985, which set itself as its most important task to save the dilapidated building of the former synagogue from final degradation, the main objective achieved on September 12, 1988 by establishing the association "Friends German-Jews of Heilbronn". The association promotes German-Jewish relations, especially with former Jewish citizens and their descendants. In its general meeting on March 8, 1998, the circle of friends decided to merge with the "Association for the Preservation of the Affaltrach Synagogue under the name "Freundeskreis fost Synagoge Affaltrach".

  The Jewish community of Tg-Mures was contacted in 2013 by the family of engineer Incze Ferenc and his wife, Incze (Fazakas) Judith, originally from Tg-Mureș. Thanks to them, we benefit from a generous annual donation aimed specifically at concentration camp survivors and helping low-income community members.
