ANNOUNCEMENT
To the esteemed members or sympathizers of the Jewish Community of Târgu Mureș who have relocated from Mureș and Harghita counties,

As most of you know, one of the main concerns of the Jewish Community of Târgu Mureș (CE TgM) is the restoration of the Great Synagogue located on Aurel Filimon Street (formerly Scolii Street).

After nearly two years, during which we had to update the land registry extracts for the synagogue and neighboring buildings due to legislative changes, we received the urban planning certificate for the synagogue in November 2024. Based on this, on 20.12.2024, we signed a contract with MULTINVEST Tg-Mures designer for the development of the "Restoration of Status quo ante A.Filimon St. 21" project.

The project cost is 390,000 lei + VAT, totaling 464,000 lei, with a 6-month deadline, at the end of which the contractor will deliver the building permit, based on which the restoration work can begin (of course, after the involvement and signing of the restoration project by the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania).

This week, CE TgM transferred a 30% + VAT advance, amounting to 140,000 lei, to the contractor from its own resources, as per the contract, to begin the project implementation.

We specify that we have requested the Federation of Jewish Communities in Romania (FCER) to co-finance the project development contract.
