We celebrated the oldest member of our congregation, Aunt Judith Kesztenbaum, on her 100th birthday in a pleasant, warm, and cheerful atmosphere, with her son András and his wife also present from Israel. Aunt Judith was greeted by László Dub, the president of our congregation, who presented her with a symbolic gift and, of course, a bouquet of flowers. Then Zoltán Kolozsvári praised their 35-year relationship filled with love. Finally, Ágnes Incze spoke, calling Aunt Judith her surrogate mother, as she had nursed her beyond infancy with her own breast milk. This was followed by eating and drinking, which concluded before the onset of Sabbath.
Ad mea ve'esrim, Aunt Judith!
D.Gy.
