Archiving
We have completed the cataloging and digitization of the communitie`s archives. It was about six months of work, thanks to the Mr. Attlia Gidó, a respected historian from Cluj-Napoca, researcher at the Romanian National Institute for the Study of National Minorities in Romania (see photo), who put us in touch with a colleague from an international institute, and thanks to this relationship we were able to purchase a scanner and then set about photocopying the thousands of pages, covering the period 1878-2018. The team was made up of Judith Heimann, László Dub, the community president, and myself. I must admit that the quality leaves something to be desired, but that is for those who will study the data to decide. A detailed description of the material and its availability will be posted on our website in June.
I hope we have not worked in vain.
