Memoirs about ghettoization and deportation from Marosvásárhely and reports from local Häftlings are expanding. On September 26, 1945, the Szabad Szó newspaper in Marosvásárhely published an interview with former deportee Béla Benczel under the title: "A witness from Marosvásárhely testifies at the Lüneburg trial." He recounts that he testified in Lüneburg against Joseph von Kramer, lieutenant colonel and commander of the Bergen-Belsen death camp, as well as 21 male and 17 female SS personnel.
