Also this year { 2018 – 5778 ( by the Jewish calendar ) } we celebrated the Purim (Lots ) in a familiar atmosphere. We remembered how Haman (cursed be) tried to destroy the Jews of the Persian Empire, because we were different … but thanks to Queen Esther (all this happens in the fifth century BCE ) the Jews were saved and Haman (cursed be ) and his followers lost , and were sentenced to death. During the evening, in which the traditional Hamantaschen was served to the participants (please find enclosed the picture), Dr. Dub Laszlo, the president of the community, had a great idea by showing parts of the "Fiddler on the Roof", like the opening number "Tradition" and from the "How to Train your Dragon " animated film he screened the "taming" parts. What a lovely evening it was !!!
